Mt. Fuji

We would like to explain Mt. Fuji in this article.

It is the highest mountain in Japan, about 3,776m. It strides between Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefecture. Many people visit Mt. Fuji every year to enjoy beautiful scenery. However, some people have other reason.

It is marathon race and held on 1st Sunday, August. Some runner says it is the hardest course in Japan because of steep road.

Interestingly, a member of “The Japan Self-Defense Forces” takes part in this marathon though they are not regarded as general participants.

Also, you could watch fireworks during summer near Mt. Fuji. Sometimes, musical festival is held and beautiful colored leaves could seen all around there.
