Tea in Japan

We would like to introduce tea in Japan.

Unless matcha, Japanese often drink green tea in daily life. For example, when they get a visitor, they usually offer hospitality by serving tea to the visitor.

According to the website, Japanese drink “sencha” most. And Shizuoka prefecture is famous for a major production area of green tea leaf. Not only for green tea, the leaf is also used for a lot of products such as soap and facial wash.

During summer, Japanese often drink barley tea. They keep it cold in the refrigerator and make children take to school with water bottle.

Also, tea company in Japan produce a large variety of bottled green tea. Each company conduct a research to produce better tea. They focus on bottle shape as well as taste and smell of tea. This shows how Japanese like tea.
