Tofu mainly has been eaten in south-eastern Asia, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. However, the origin is in China around 8 century.

Nowadays, it is eaten all over the world, especially in Europe and the United States because it has a low calorie content and good for health.

Japanese eat tofu in all kinds of way. One example is “tofu-hamburg”. As the name shows, this hamburg uses tofu instead of meat. Or tofu is not only for side dish, but for snacks to go with sake.
